I've sent Jair a PM stating my intent to play, but on one condition: I must not be lynched on day 1 or killed on night 1, or the game will be declared null and void ;p

Can we keep Jun alive beyond half a game day please? He's been eliminated really early in the last 2 IIRC.

I know that lots of people are interested in hosting a mafia game, however, after a week of research, I have a number of roles in mind, along with some twists to make the game more exciting and enjoyable.

I am not 100 % sure on the theme yet, but I am thinking of a Doctor Who theme, as I think was mentioned earlier in this thread. The roles and twists and general play I have in mind, would fit Doctor Who's sci-fi theme perfectly.

You may think that I am too inexperienced, that is why I would like a co-host possibly to help with vote counts from time to time. Also, I will taking part in the next couple of Mafia games to improve my mafia knowledge, and to know what I need to do when it comes round to hosting it.

I am clearly aware though that there are other people who are ahead of me in the queue, so I'm willing to wait for a while, but ideally, it would be good to host it fairly soon, as I have 7 weeks free now, which would make it easier for me. But like I said, if I have to wait, I will patiently wait. :)

Most of my game though is completed in terms of roles though, and is ready to be played whenever it is wanted to be started.

I wouldn't mind co-hosting, would be nice to get some experience hosting so I could maybe host my own mafia game some day :P.

You got killed within hours of the last game starting, so you've had 2 weeks to get it sorted. Lazy *insert your own profanity here* ;p

It would be quite amusing if you turned out to be scum buddies in the next game ;)
There's no point in studying my playing style; most of the time, not even I know what I am doing ;p
That was my first game as mafia too. I made Gordon, the puppet master, look like an Amateur mafia genius ;p
Without Finn's contribution towards my credibility, I'd have been lynched so much earlier. He had a great game ;p

My game would ideally be for 20-24 players btw. But if I don't get too much interest then I would be able to lower it to 18 possibly.

If Riley's hosting after Jair, then who's hosting after Riley? I remember Gordon wanting to host one, but I would happily steal that slot if he's not ready yet. ;)

to be honest. i just do not see the big deal in everyone wanting to host a game! the only reason im doing it. is that i feel ive played enough of other peoples games that i feel i should pay them back by hosting my own. hosting isnt all that fun people.

Probably, if I get to releasing the game. :)

I know, I didn't exactly expect it to be that fun. ;)

I'm doing it to give everyone a fun time, and to make the mafia players at GPRO happy. :)

Sorry to keep bragging... ;)

but I have completed my lists of roles for my game, it does look quite exciting, with a lot of unique roles.

It's ready to be played when all you lot are ready to play it. :)

btw, I take it I'm next after Riley? Unless I'm missed someone out before me (sorry if I have! :p ).

Sorry for bringing this up again, but I would like to release the final details for my game:

- It is based on Doctor Who's Doomsday
- There are 20 spaces for people to join
- Most roles are related to their character, however, some are not
- Twists have been added into the game to improve the fun of the game

Thanks, now I will stay quiet until it is my turn to host after Riley's game. :p

I'm not going to say that it's not fun, but hosting can be a lot of work, particularly if you are running a large game and are not in a better time zone (I am in the US, Jair is in Mexico, Riley is in Australia, everyone else is virtually in Europe or a European time zone). I've learned that you have to be organized and ready for any and everything to happen, and you have to have the whole game thought through without any loopholes to mess the game up.

I have got a game written up. F1 themed, but there isn't much significance between roles and characters.

16 players, and I would only accept people who I know are active every game.

It's going back to the old big games, where they weren't amazingly complex, but they weren't amazingly easy. It would not be a game for new players, basically.

I know there has been and F1 themed Mafia before, but that was about 2 years ago.

I know I will have to wait, just thought I'd let people know I've got one ready.

Should be interesting, if I am accepted that is ;)

Wasn't a GPRO based theme also going up in the ranks as another possibility? Whatever happened to that?

I would like to host a mafia game at some point too. It's called "Designer Mafia"

The speciality of the game would be that the roles in that game would be created by the players themselves; which will then be balanced by me ie, two or more roles may be mixed, or a role may be split into two or more roles, or a role or two might be added if overlooked by the players (if, no one designs a doctor for example) and then randomly distributed to the players.

Another theme I am looking at is based on "Fall from Heaven" mod of Civilization IV

I have an idea for a GPRO Forum Game, but don't have the time to run it.

It would take on the basic premises golf's Ryder Cup, where two teams of players would be pitted against each other, with two Captains choosing the matchups for each round of contests.

Anyone interested in running this game (with my help in the background, so long as I can participate too), please PM me. I have this mapped out in my mind and think it could be a really great game.
